About Glenys Gibson Napaltjarri
Glenys Gibson Napaltjarri was born in Papunya, Central Australia, in 1968 or 1970. Glenys has lived in Papunya and Kintore (Walungurru) settlements for the past few years; she is married and lives with her husband and extended family.
Glenys is the daughter of Ningurra Napurrula, a well-known Australian painter. Glenys observed the notable male artists who were founding members of the Papunya Tula Art Centre, as her mother had done before her, but she developed her creative style from Ningura and other female relatives. Her works are lively in execution and represent her ability as a true artist with a bright future ahead of her.
