About Pansy Napangardi
Pansy grew up on a mission settlement at Haast Bluff in Central Australia. She moved to Alice Springs in 1989. She later started painting with acrylic on canvas. Since that time Pansy’s paintings have inspired world acclaim. Today she is considered one of the foremost artists from Alice Springs. Pansy was influenced by Johnny Warangkula and Kaapa, two established artists. She has a son and four adopted children that live with her in Alice Springs. Pansy has exhibited her work in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and is represented in all major collections. Her Dreamings include Kungka Kutjara (two women) Seven Sisters and Winpirri Rockhole as well as Bush Tucker, Snake and Kangaroo.
